(A)  ® The Community Youth Continue Dancing Enrichment Programs

The Program was created to:
(1)  Introduce, preserve and educate All Youth in the Art form of Swingout & 2-Step couple dancing to include other styles of dances.

(2)  Encourage youth at a early age to become aware of the:

Benefits of Dancing

*  Dancing for a straight half hour can burn between 200 and 400 calories.
*  Dancing reularly can lead to slower heart rate, lower blood pressure and an
    improved cholesterol profile.
*  Dancing side-to-side movements of many dances strenghts weight-bearing

bones and can help prevent or slow the loss of bone mass.

(3)  Teach the Formula for Healthy Life Style:
Physical Fitness (body) + Mental Wellness (mind) = Plenty of Social Dancing.

(4)  Instructors also teach as an added bonus other different styles of Swing dances, line dances and various multi-cultural dances across Texas and around the world.

(5)  To teach proper social interaction and dancing etiquette.  Which encourage dancing students to work together as a team and show respect for the person dancing in front of you. Fellowship with others.

(6)  The youth of today pick up on all dances.  We give the youth another traditional authentic choice and access to more multi-cultural optional dances.
(7)  Introduces Youth to cleaners MUSIC  which includes  Instrumental, Jazz, Old School R&B, basicly softer sounds.

Adopt-a-Youth-to Dance Program Request

Mon, 3 Mar 2008 15:45:12
Re: Seniors Activity Day @ Reagan High School
I would like to send this proposal,  in hopes that you will be interested in helping us out.

This Wednesday, we will hold our Seniors in a "Day Lock In", while our under classmen will be TAKS testing here at Reagan High School.  This will be an very important moment for our school and students.  While our students are testing, we ill hold the Seniors in the auditorium ALL DAY, from 8:30am - 3:45pm.  We will have various college speakers in, a fashion show, a salsa dance team, a mini college fair, and a panel discussion.  Also, breakfast and lunch will also be provided.

I would like to see if you will be interested in being apart of our "lock in" for the Seniors and participate in a small dance routine, and also be apart of our panel discussion.  The panel discussion will consist of people from various walks of life, and you will be a perfect person with soooo much experience from your work, school, and social aspects.  I know that this may be very late in the day to ask, but I am going to take the chance to ask you anyway.  If you can or if you are willing, please consider my invitation to join us on Wednesday, March 5th at 11:00-12:00pm for the panel discussion and then the entertainment part will follow immediately with lunch.  Who knows maybe they will do some Swingout dancing at their Prom!!

Thank you so much in advance!  I hope to hear from you soon.

Her Story:  While getting gas, I notice a huge trophy inside their vehicle. This young man had been a very good boy in school with many, many achievements and awards. I ask his mother if I could take his picture. And found out she has 6 children and their father Dezra Jefferson is presently military station in Killeen, Texas heading to Iraq in August 1st. Lee and I felt honored to post this family.
